
The Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) was founded in 1999. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act to act as central statutory body to promote, preserve and patronize the Indigenous Faith and Culture of Arunachal Pradesh
Dr. Tai Nyori, was the first President and Late Mokar Riba was its first General Secretary. Since its inception the Society has been working in tandem with sister organizations like Donyi-Polo Yelam Kebang,Donyi-Polo Gangging, Kargu Gamgi, Meder Nello Council, Dani Piilo Society, Nyishi Indigenous Faith and Culture Society,Rangfra Faith Promotion Society, Central Nyeder Namlo, Galo Indigenous Faith and Cultural Council, CALSOM, ICLS, Aka Nyezi-No Khugru Indigenous Faith Society, Donyi-Polo Namlo, Budhist Cultural Preservation Society, Tai-Khamti Cultural & Literary Society, Jang Nah Gulun Society, Tangsa Cultural and Literary Society and other such societies spread across the districts.
To promote, preserve and protect age old indigenous tribal faith, customs and belief system being practiced since time immemorial by our proud ancestors for the well being of future generation.
To promote and carry out professional research and documentation on the indigenous faith, belief, customs, art, literature and rich cultural heritage through various indigenous faith movements of Arunachal Pradesh.
To facilitate and promote the conduct of traditional festivals, feasts and cultural activities of indigenous believers and also to encourage proper publicity of various art forms and rich cultural heritage.
To promote, preserve and protect age old indigenous system of healings and treatment of diseases and ailment through local shamans and prayer systems and also encourage reforms with changing times
To promote and preserve our indigenous tribal dialects/languages, scripts and indigenous tribal costumes and traditional foods, beverages and dishes etc.
To preserve and promote our rich traditional folk dances, music, folk songs, folklores, birth rituals, marriage and death rites and rituals.
To work on codification of customary laws and social code of conduct of all indigenous tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.
To initiate and take actions against misinterpretation, misrepresentation and distortion of our indigenous faith, beliefs, rituals and festivals.
To encourage gradual social reformation in tune with the development of modern science and technology.
To promote sense of unity, integrity, cooperation and brotherhood among ourselves through the medium of art and cultural activities.
